Hi all!
Thank you to everyone who joined Ryan and Dan for their web chat on Friday 22nd August, we hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for all the questions; sorry they couldn’t all be answered, but if you didn’t get an answer to yours there is always next time!

Dee :): QUESTION: How did your siblings react when you started to become famous? (I have a sneaking suspicion that, like any siblings, they probably went out of their way to keep you well grounded! *L*)
Ryan & Dan: Dee: Family were all soo excited for us and are always so supportive

pearl: Would you one day consider or like to record a song for a major film like "James Bond"?
Ryan & Dan: Pearl: We have recorded a song for a movie coming out soon called Gooby. We plan to do much more of this in the future as well.

Helen / Aussiegirl8: Will you be visiting Australia with your next album. You are the featured album on Bigpondmusic.com at the moment and have been for a week or so, also the recommended album. How come you did not do more promotion stuff here last year? I only saw you on Sunrise and an Undercover Interview.
Ryan & Dan: Helen: We'll be touring all over the world again for the second album ... Can't wait!!!
 
Ryan & Dan: We're in the midst of writing the second album
 
noei: dear RD will you come to Thailand? I heard you did SEA promo in HK
Ryan & Dan: Noei: We've never been to Thailand but we would love to go!
 
Kelsey: Was looking forward to seeing you in concert but you didn't come to some of the provinces in Canada. Just wondering if you are planning to come to Manitoba on your next tour through Canada?
Ryan & Dan: Kelsey: We will be touring Canada again very soon and we plan on visiting a lot of the other provinces
 
 
Ryan & Dan: Can't wait for you all to hear the new music!!! As soon as we're ready we'll post some songs up on all the sites for you to listen to.

pearl: Question: What other places would you like to visit that you haven't been to?? Russia??
Ryan & Dan: Pearl: Haven’t been to India ... Would love to go!
 
Bob: do you write your own songs?
Ryan & Dan: Bob: This next album will mostly be written by us. We've written 15 songs so far and we plan to write another 364
Priya: 364 songs?? FOR ONE ALBUM??
Ryan & Dan: Maybe 363
Ryan & Dan: We wrote one song that is 3 hours and 26 minutes long ... We hope you like it.

Claire: will you be touring the UK when your second album comes out?
Ryan & Dan: Claire:  We will definitely be touring the UK again.

David Henrie: tears of an angel is the most beaytiful song ive ever heard :'( it made me cry its genius
Ryan & Dan: David Henrie: Means so much to us ... Tears of an Angel is one of our favorites as well.
Margaret: I cried during tears of an angel too, at the vancouver concert. It was the day after the one year anniversary of my cousins passing. :(
Margaret: Your music really TOUCHES people.
AndyDan: Tears Of An Angel reminds me of my Gramps. He died of cancer :(
Ryan & Dan: AndyDan: I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather.
Charity: I sing Tears of an Angel to my son to remind me how special he is to me and how precarious life is.
David Henrie: Tears of an angel is soo nice :D

Lisa: Question: Did writing about your niece make "Tears of an Angel" easier or harder to write? (My condolences, by the way)
Ryan & Dan: Lisa: It was one of the most difficult songs to sing but very easy to write.

Agnes: I've read in a previous interview that Ryan does not drink alcohol. Dan don't you drink alcohol also? Is it because the voice, didn't you like the taste or is there another reason?
Ryan & Dan: Agnes: We have the occasional glass of red wine but we try to stay away from alcohol.

Charity: Do you guys have any pets? (yes, I realize travelling makes caring for them hard)
Ryan & Dan: Charity:  we have a kitten named Kylie :)

Ryan & Dan: Katdar: Our parents are divorced and we lived separately for about a year.

chrissy: can we expect any duets on the new album?
Ryan & Dan: Chrissy:  We love doing duets with other artists ... We'll probably do this on the next album.

Priya: Question: Seriously guys, why ur not models??
Ryan & Dan: Priya: Thanks.

Ryan & Dan: Helen: Yes we do.

K.Anne: When will the next album be released?  Can we hear anything about yet?
Ryan & Dan: K.Anne: No date for the album release ... But we'll know more as we get closer to finishing all the songs.

Lisa: Question: Was learning to harmonize difficult, because you made it look SO easy at Club Soda in Montreal?
Ryan & Dan: Lisa:  We have harmonized our whole lives ... Had a lot of practise.

Dee  :): QUESTION: (I'm being serious, now)  How is your Mom?
Ryan & Dan: Dee:  Our mom is ok ... We try to spend a lot of time with her.

SAMandBEE: WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR TODAY???? AND WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW????
Ryan & Dan: SamandBee: We're just about to head back to the studio ... We are recording today.

Kristin: Question-If you weren't singers, what would your careers have been?
Ryan & Dan: Kristin: Could never do anything other than music.
Kristin: Wouldn't want you to :)

symphanie: would you guys like to sing WITH Josh Groban?
Ryan & Dan: Sympanie:  We performed with Josh Groban at the ACC in Toronto ... We had a GREAT time!

AndyDan: QUESTION: Have you been working with Steve Anderson on this album? Or have you chosen to work with another great producer?
Ryan & Dan: AndyDan: Steve Anderson is an INCREDIBLE producer and we will be working with him again.
AndyDan: That's nice to hear! Thanks!

Agnes: In all the videos I have seen Ryan takes the high part and Dan takes the low part. Is there a reason furrow and is there a video where it is switched?
Ryan & Dan: Agnes:  We switch parts all the time.

Cliff: I like RD version oh holy night.

Ryan & Dan: Kristin:  Just got back from L.A. ... We'll be heading there again soon.

Nadia: I have a question for Ryan and Dan - any plans of coming to South Africa?
Ryan & Dan: Nadia:  We might be going to South Africa in the next month or two.

Ottawafan: You guys said at the Ottawa concert you were coming back in the fall. I REALLY hope that happens!
Ryan & Dan: Ottawafan:  We'll definitely try! :)

Thought I'd give you a quick update of what Ryan and I are up to at the

moment.

We've been spending a lot of time recently writing and recording demos

in the studio. We've got a number of very special songs that we can't wait for you to hear.

We are are also looking forward to starting rehearsal for the

tour very soon. Time passes really quickly, it seems like just yesterday that we announced our first headline tour and now it's just a few weeks away. We can't wait!

We are delighted to announce that support on our upcoming shows will be

early to catch her set.

Happy New Year everyone....

Ryan and I had a great Christmas and New Year seeing our friends and family.  We spent a lot of the holidays writing new material. Our first trip of 2008 was to New York for our industry launch of the album, coming out on Decca records on 8th April for all our American fans.  At the launch, we performed: Like The Sun, Tears of an Angel, The Face and The Prayer. We were only in the city for a day, so we didn't have too much time to look around. It was freezing cold but the launch was a huge success! We are looking forward to touring soon and playing at 'One Night Live' in Toronto and our first headline show at Brock University in St Catherine's, Canada.
