This is only the beginning

Hi Everyone,

It's now official! Ryan and Dan have signed with Universal Music worldwide and their debut album will be released in September.

They are recording their album in a gorgeous vintage studio in the centre of London, England and were excited to learn that the mixing desk used for recording their album is the same board used by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones!  Not only that, but the microphone they used for their vocals is the exact one that Frank Sinatra used! You'll be blown away when you hear how incredible their vocals sound on this album!

Completing the album took them several months, because they wanted to feel that it's as close to perfect as it can possibly be. For this reason, they demoed about 50 songs – and in the end narrowed the selection down to what they believe to be the 12 best. All the songs on the album were recorded with beautiful live orchestration.  They claimed that the experience of singing with a live orchestra was one of the most incredible experiences they've ever had – they described it as  "exhilarating! exciting!  moving! overwhelming!". They can hardly wait to have the opportunity to perform live on stage, with live orchestration behind them.

The album release might seem like a long time for their fans to have to wait, but they want to try to do as much promotion as possible before then.  The plan is to for RyanDan to tour throughout the summer. As soon as the tour dates have been confirmed they will be posted here, and also on www.ryandan.com – so keep checking to find out when RyanDan will be near you.

They will be doing a photo shoot at the end of this month. As soon as the new photos are ready, some will be posted here for all of you to see. The photos from this particular photo shoot will be used for media promotion - and also for their debut album cover.

Now on a more somber note…

Early in November they learned that their beautiful little three year old niece has a rare and aggressive malignant brain tumor.  It has been - and continues to be - extremely tough for them, and for their whole family.  This little girl is in the midst of going through intensive chemotherapy, and Ryan and Dan are trying hard to remain optimistic and send their most positive thoughts to their niece. When they found about her illness, they felt absolutely devastated and helpless, and needed a way to express their feelings. So they wrote a song for her called 'Tears of an Angel,' which will be one of the tracks on their debut album. When you listen to this song, it will give you some indication of the feelings they've endured throughout their niece's struggle.
